School and Educational Consulting Services

For 15 years, we have provided behavior analytic support services to students and educators in Reno/Sparks, rural Nevada, and northeastern California. No diagnosis or problem behavior has deterred us from wanting to help a student succeed in the education setting, as our school services are delivered based on our values of quality, compassion, collaboration, and integrity.  Our experience with individual education plans and legal compliance in behavior and learning supports makes us a wonderful addition to an educational team to bridge the relationship between parents and school, as an independent evaluator to determine if an Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) or Positive Behavior Intervention Plan (PBIPs) fits the needs of the student, or to provide compensatory services if necessary.  While a majority of our consultation focuses on behavior reduction to decrease behavior that impedes the learning of the student or peers and to increase appropriate replacement responses, we also provide service and consultation to educators and administrators helping build systems and training infrastructure to increase achievements related to IEP goals and academics for students receiving special education services.  

Our Services

Services can be designed to assist a teacher within a classroom to provide him or her with effective behavior reduction strategies or other individualized learning focuses for specific students. Our team of school consultants provides extensive Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) services, assists the educational team in constructing Positive Behavior Intervention Plans (PBIPs), conducts initial and ongoing training and support for staff, administrators, and parents, and helps design data collection systems to monitor behaviors and other Individualized Education Program goals. For classroom-specific consultation, we provide additional assistance within schools assisting for developing high quality procedures for special education classrooms that focus on students in ASD, SED, and/or CLS classrooms in need of additional behavioral and basic educational support.  

Additional consultative services include customized, hands-on trainings and workshops for administrators, teachers, and paraprofessionals.  To ensure that the concepts and procedures demonstrated during trainings are implemented with fidelity, our workshops often include follow-up consultation to assist staff in the implementation of procedures learned.
